My baby is not a baby anymore =(

The day after tomorrow my baby will be 3 years old.  THREE. YEARS. OLD!

Seriously, how did this happen?  Wasn't it just last month that Wyat was born and I found out I was having a boy just like my bestie, Jaime??  We were SO excited, knowing that since we have been best friends since I was born, obviously our boys were destined to follow in our footsteps.  Seems like a week after that another one of my bests, Christina, had her son, and hours later (literally) Maeson was here.  19.5 inches long, 6.7 pounds, a tiny little boy, so perfect, even with his temporary cone head, it was truly love at first sight.  Our families were there, along with about 20 of our closest friends, at one point I think we broke the 'only 5 visitors allowed' rule when we had 25 people in the room about an hour after delivery, at least only one nurse got upset about that though.  We went home 2 days after, and that's when all the fun began.

Diaper.  Nursing.  Diaper.  Nursing.  Maeson refusing a bottle.  Diaper.  Nursing.  Thank goodness I had an ipodTouch to keep me occupied.  My mom told me "you better write things down that you want to remember, because you don't think you'll forget, but you will."  I was pretty good about it for a while, I mean in the beginning there aren't too many accomplishments to keep track of.  But she was right, as the months went on, Maeson would do something amazing (everyday) and I would think, 'oh, I'll just write it later, I won't forget.'  Then when I would go to document, I could only remember a few of the dozens of amazing things I wanted to save in the baby book.

Fast forward to crawling, walking, running, eating by himself, making all the cute animal noises on command when I was showing him off, now actual TALKING, conversation, counting to 13 and saying the alphabet, having the oh, SO precious conversations with Wyat and his other friends that Jaime and I just eavesdrop on because it is SO cute!  He rides his bike, checks the mail, knows exactly what he wants to eat, 'helps' me with the laundry, has his own opinions, personality and a mind of his own.  Now here he is, talking about how excited he is for his Star Wars birthday party, and showing me with his fingers that he is going to be "One, two, three!"

Toddlers are amazing little humans.

Time really does go by SO fast, but it is all so much fun with lots of memories made every day! Just remember to write them all down...!

One of my favorite quotes...
"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children are teaching us what life is all about."

 and a silly one....
